I can’t believe last time I posted it was January and in the peak of summer. I was deciding which bikini to buy next and now all you see in my search engine is knitwear, jackets and coats (preferably wearing them all the same time). So on this toasty Sydney night, I’ve composed my coat wish list.

In my opinion, there is nothing quite like wearing white shorts in summer.
My favourite would have to be these Sass and bide ones. They are the perfect mix between relaxed and tailored. Paired with this Zimmermann bodice, Alexander Wang strappy sandals and a pale pink lip and you are ready for any summer event.
My favourite silhouette that is trending right now would have to be the drop waist. This shape, initially from the 1920’s just makes you feel so much taller and leaner wearing it (as long as you have some good spanks on).
We are seeing this waist line all over our favourite shopping destinations and the moment (net-a-porter, matches fashion, asos and shop bop). I can’t wait until this trend hits the streets hard and we the Alexa Chung’s and the Olivia Palermo’s rocking them.
From a brand that I have loved so dearly for doing bring orange in everything, magenta in ways I had never thought to wear magenta and the comfiest tees I have ever had EVER! Comes the FUTURE OF NOW. It has been coming slowly I feel, with the tailoring and the beautiful beadwork that has been sneaking its way in, but to me, the future of now seems so grown up, so beautiful just YES.
Sass and Bide were the start of my love of labels and it has just kept growing. They are amazing with tees, denim, relaxed styling, soft tailoring and now watch them absolutely master monochrome. This could very soon make up the majority of my work wardrobe.
Here are my favourites of this collection (it is basically the whole collection). Enjoy
I’ve spent the day catching up on revenge and enjoying Ashley’s style, She always looks so good, legs for day. But its not just what she wears but how she wears it. Clothes just always just look better on skinny people.
Oh and I wouldn’t mind her accent along with her wardrobe and her legs 🙂
I think everyone in their right mind thinks that little kids dressed well is one of the cutest things in the world. A little girl wearing a trench coat and beret or a little boy wearing a button down shirt, chinos and boat shoes is enough to make me wish I was growing up in this era. Being at a christening today I was enjoying the little girls enjoying dressing up for the occasion, with their jewellery, their bags, their dresses and it got me thinking when does fashion really start to set in?
I joke to all the time that when I have a little girl I’ll sit their reading shop til you drop and she will be sitting next to me reading shop kids, and I will have my little fashionista by my side.
Kids grow out of their clothes so fast why not dress them in the best trends of the season? They will grow out of them around the same time the new trends start.
Now as much as my mum tries to tell me it was cool in the early 90’s, I wish my mum dressed me like Harper (and had her own fashion line for me to drool over as I grew up) Oh well. We can just enjoy these little fashionista’s
Possibly one of my favourite fabrics every is again one of the hot looks of the season. Leather has the ability to look both edgy and elegant, being able to be worn on a casual day out or at a hip night party.
I love the different shades of leather thats coming through, reds, greens, beiges. drool …
